Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm a mom to Aki (2) and Archer (3 months). Wife to Ryan. I have a background in fashion design and Ryan is a graphic designer. 

When did you start creating and how long have you been on Etsy?
When Aki was a year old we started making him shirts. People showed interest and we opened up our etsy store a year ago. 

How did you come up with your business name, is there any special meaning behind it? 
Whistle & flute is cockney rhyming slang for suit ( i also play the flute ) 

Has your Etsy shop become your full time job? If not, would you like it to be?
Before we started the shop I wasn't working I was/am a SAHM. So yes it has become my full time job on top of both of our full time jobs. 

How would you describe your creative process? 
Usually I come up with an idea, tell Ryan and he started working on ideas on the computer. 

Where do you get your inspiration from? 
Our kids. We aim to create clothes that are unisex and ageless. 

What is your most cherished handmade item?
Love our House of Mia leggings! 

Apart from creating things, what do you like to do? 
Hang out with our kids :) 

Was there ever any other job you dreamed of having growing up? 
I always wanted to be a mom 

Five years from now you will be… 
Both working full time on Whistle & Flute. Hopefully have a dedicated space too.

 Itunes- Haim, Outkast Hey Ya (our baby falls asleep to this haha), Pharrel's Happy (our toddler loves this) , david bowie, Frozen soundtrack (ok that's just me) 

Lastly, do you have any advice for anyone thinking about opening their own shop or participating in craft shows?
