About

Welcome to my little portion of the internet, my name is Trisha and I'm a 36 year old, non grown up. I'm still trying to answer the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I'm a crafty lady who loves vintage hunting and collecting. I collect old metal lunchboxes (my goal is to have an entire wall someday, I'm up to 22 currently), 1950's cat-eye glasses, vintage pyrex and other mid century modern kitchenware.

I'm not a fashion icon. My look has always been form fitting tee shirts from either Gama-Go or threadless and baggier pants - my favorites are flat front khaki style in grey or a pair of comfy army pants. (this means never having to carry a purse!) I have been trying to switch up my style because I love cute vintage dresses and vintage inspired dressed from places like Modcloth and Ruche, I'm getting quite the collection.. but trying to break out of my routine is difficult.

I currently live in Upstate NY with my husband, Kevin, though you will never hear me refer to him as that. He is either "K" or "Mister" (our wedding invitations even said "Mister" and "Lady" - which is what he calls me) We will sometimes be in a  store and I will shout out "Hey mister!" and people will turn and look with confusion. We have been together since 1998 but just got married in 2009 in a pretty unique wedding; dunking booth, food vendors, ice cream truck, and pig racing?! included. We live in an insane Victorian house that we are currently, very slowly, renovating.

LOLA
aka. lola-baby
aka. chicken salad
aka lola-ebola

We share our space with Lola, our 11 year old Scottie puppy. She is my baby and I love her more than life. She follows me everywhere, including into  the bathroom each morning when I shower. We keep her hair disheveled and shave her down every summer.

** Lola passed away March 26th 2013 after a short battle with Lymphoma. She is missed more than you know..**

POLLY
aka Dog

The second dog in our house is Polly, aka DOG. She is a red-tick coon hound, hunting dog. She spent the first two years of her life living in a blue barrel chained up next to a goat! She now lives it up, sleeps in our bed and has popcorn eating parties. She has the life. She torments me daily. Jumping on counters, getting into the garbage, and eating dozens of cupcakes.

ELLA
aka. mini-dog
aka. wiener
aka. luigi
aka. ella bella
aka. peanut

Ella,  is the third and newest addition. She was a Christmas present from mister for XMas 2011. She's a crazy puppy, whom I lovingly call "peanut". She's a mama's girl as well, following me everywhere I go and whining and crying if I leave the room for longer than two minutes. Definitely a spoiled little girl.

If you are new to my blog, I write weekly posts-

Buying Handmade: Behind the Scenes

I absolutely love Etsy. I used to have a shop on there a few years ago (I used to have my own dog treat business called "Bill Pickles Dog Co.") I think Etsy is such a great place to show off what you can do, meet great people and shop handmade (and now vintage too). Each week I interview an Etsy seller and we get to take a peak into their studio and the inner workings of what makes them tick. I love this and look forward to it each week.

Five Finds Fridays:
This is a weekly roundup of five different categories each week; favorite Etsy find, favorite blog, please may i move in, get in my belly and a favorite tee shirt.

I also write about my Farmer's Market adventures and our gardening progress. My blog is always changing and evolving. Don't be scared off if you come on and the layout looks completely different than the prior day. I'm trying to find the right fit and sometimes that takes a little bit of trial and error.

If you have any comments, suggestions or just want to say hi please do! And welcome to my little area of the internet. If you'd like to email me you can find me at veranellies @ gmail dot com

I just finished reading most of your blog and I have to say, jealous here! You have a Victorian house (swoon) and a studio in the back (another swoon) I love your glass work, i've been dying to take a class for years now. I admire that you crochet, I can't really crochet, not my thing I guess, but I still try to give it a go every once in awhile. Just wanted to stop by say I love your house, your dogs are adorable and you have a nice blog going, keep it up!

thank you and welcome! my girls are all my babies..but they all know how to get into lots of trouble!
You're the only one who seems to have wondered over to my blog and given me some advice so I'm here to ask for more advice! Do you know how to get a Bloglovin widget, just a small circle or square one you have for Pinterest? I could really use some help on the HTML java works you got going on on your page. Just organizing it into sections like you have. Any tips?

Thank you thank you thank you!
