the passing of a legend

March 17, 2002 - March 26, 2013

Lola lost her battle with cancer today. We are heart broken here in the Pelletier house. So please excuse a short absence. I already had written up a post for Thursday regarding the dangers of constant use of prednisone. I will still publish it for anyone interesting in the article.

We will miss our baby, I wanted to share this fabulous shot of her in her under-roos that was taken when she was just a pup. She was always my sweetheart, and will always remain my baby.

There is no bond like the one shared with a pet, a source of unwavering and unconditional love and devotion. The pain of losing such a friend hurts so deeply because you loved so deeply. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is just absolutely awful, whether you prepare yourself for it or not. They really are like children. My heart goes out to you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Lola looks like she was a real lover and a fighter to the end. Losing a pet is so tough. Be sure to take care of yourself during this time. I'll be thinking about you!

Trisha, I am so sorry you lost your Lola. O my, what a sad day.
If/when you are up for it I would like to talk with you about this issue. I have a german shepherd who has cancer and SO many skin issues and I just don't know what to do for him. I will understand if it is too early or you'd rather not.
